Just Socks 2024 Emergency Socks Drive
JANUARY 15TH - FEBRUARY 15TH, 2024
New socks are one of the most needed items of clothing for Canadian charities. Unfortunately, they are the least donated. Homeless individuals often need to walk up to 15km per day for food, shelter, clothing and employment. And often they have only one pair of socks. Socks quickly get wet in rain or snow, there is nowhere to clean or dry them and they wear out quickly. Wet feet also mean extreme discomfort and potential diseases.
Just Socks Foundation's sole purpose is to provide new socks to those in need across Canada. In the past 9 years Just Socks has disributed just under 700,000 pairs of socks to over 120 charity partners who provide clothing to those in need.
Our 2024 Emergency Sock Drive aims to raise $25,000 from January 15th to February 15th. All donations will be matched by an anonymous donor.
A $30 donation buys 20 pairs of socks and donors receive an instant tax receipt for any gifts over $3.
